Facebook What?

I am not typically one to do texting or instant messaging.  I do wonder from time to time what is happening in the lives of the people from my past.  Genealogy or family history research is one of the most popular activities/hobbies on the planet so it should come as no surprise that finding living friends from past parts of our lives would be something of interest.  Enter www.facebook.com!  I have heard about this site and never thought much about it.  I was doing some web surfing and found that one of the organizations I belonged to had a link to the facebook website.  I wanted to see if any of the people from my past were there so I signed up.  Wouldn’t you know it there were a few people there that I knew.  I expanded the search to include people I graduated high school and college with and served with in Canada.  What a great tool.  I am looking to suggest this site to clients as a way for them to connect with friends of their past and to keep tabs on each other.  I hate the part of being a realtor where you build a relationship help the person or family find or sell a home and then you don’t see or hear from them for maybe ever.  Kind of a crappy deal.  Anyway, that’s my 2 cents worth on the matter.  I think it’s a great tool to stay connected with people.  Let me know what your experience has been.
